Great tips!!! Thanks for sharing!

So glad you found it helpful Janine! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I take Tide Pods and Bounty sheets to do laundry. It cuts down on the luggage.
YES! I also love coming home with clean clothes. I do laundry everywhere I go!
Do you find it stressful to cook in hotel rooms? Or is it helpful and allows you to maximize your trips?
Not at all! It honestly helps to know I won't be spending money on food my kids will take one bite of and throw away. We have also been doing this for a super long time (since I was in high school), so it's just part of our routine now!
Great information! We love traveling to Disney in our RV and staying at Fort Wilderness, as we have everything we need/want, but can still eat out too! When we stay in Disney resorts (without our RV), it is hard not having all our delicious food to snack on or make a meal. Thanks for sharing!
YES MARGY! I grew up going to Fort; so that was the only place I stayed for the first 15 years of my life! We have become innovative since we stopped staying there. And we've been using the hotpot ever since!
We always do grocery delivery to have breakfast and snack foods in the room. And extra paper plates or bowls are key!
It's so great! Grocery Delivery has been a complete game changer for us!
I love this! We spend way too much money on food when we go to Disney. The hot pot idea is genius! Thanks for sharing 😀
You're welcome! And yes there are definitely ways to save money!
I loved this style of vlog! My number one savings tip is a $5USD meal hack at Pecos Bill in the Magic Kingdom. Order a side of taco meat for $5 and when the person hands you the meat, ask for an oval plate and then head over to the fixins bar and pile on the fixins including lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, jalapeno rings, pico de gallo. You can also order guacamole for $2USD. It used to be included in the fixins bar until the number crunchers at Disney found out! This is also keto friendly. Susie can bring those tortillas and make tacos too LOL!
THIS IS GENIUS AND IM TRYING IT NEXT WEEK WHEN IM THERE! I’m on keto so I super appreciate the suggestion!
@Pixie Dust & Parenting Bring a zip seal bag filled with Taco Bell FIRE sauce and the non-Keto people can bring their own organic tortilla chips LOL. Pecos Bill's is all about the fixins bar, otherwise it is canteen-grade dining. Definitely doesn''t compare to SoCal Mexican but for WDW it's one of the best values!
And there's another fixins bar by the upstairs seating area.
My moms friend is a representative for Tupperware spain and I have recently purchased from her a few cooking supplies. I’m sure it’s also available in the US as it is a US brand. One item is a grill you can put in the oven. I have made roasted veggies and grilled chicken breast in the microwaveable grill. I also purchased a special bowl that you can steam veggies or make pasta or even meatballs in it in the microwave. I also have an omelette maker to make egg omelette in the microwave. It’s great because you don’t need cooking oil to make any of it
Here's more tips for "in-room dining" at WDW LOL: Susie can also pack a small 7" electric skillet in her portable kitchen luggage! They're $12-$15USD and great for cooking eggs and burgers. ALDI has excellent prices on paper plates, red cups, and plasticware. And don't forget the paper towels/kitchen paper. Large zip seal bags come in handy too. Trader Joe's has delicious canned vegetarian refried pinto beans (frijoles) and also their Cuban black beans are great with chicken, salsa, shredded cheese, avocado, & their cilantro dressing. Their organic baked beans are excellent too (non-Keto)! ALDI has excellent organic hot salsa and their beef sticks are a great keto snack. In addition to bringing tuna in a pouch, try canned chicken. It looks like solid white tuna but tastes like chicken LOL. If you are driving and can get to the Trader Joe's nearest to WDW, their Soy Chorizo is fantastic. Great with eggs for breakfast or making a layered bowl with frijoles, cheese, sour cream, salsa or use as a taco meat with crunchy taco shells from TJ's or best price at ALDI. BTW, ALDI products are non-GMO only and contain no artificial colours or preservatives. Also you can mix in one entire package of TJ's Soy Chorizo with 2 cooked"Joe's Diner" Mac n Cheese that have been microwave cooked. They're in the frozen aisle at TJ's. Delicious! Libby's brand Corned Beef Hash is the best tasting that I've tried in the States. Microwave the corned beef hash in a covered paper bowl for about 4 minutes, then use the same bowl (covered with a paper plate also) for ONE "sunnyside" style egg for 45 to 50 seconds (or more), for best results, do not make more than one sunnyside style egg at a time in the microwave, or use the same paper bowl uncovered to make microwave egg scramble (2 eggs beaten with a few tsps water) set microwave timer about 45 seconds, stir, repeat two more times, you can add cheese after the first 45 second cook cycle. Cheese slices come in handy too. You can save huge on breakfast by eating in. Also make a large batch of oatmeal/pourridge and portion out to be heated up another morning. Having fresh eggs handy is a great savings too and hard-boiled eggs are an excellent late night keto snack. If you like iced tea, Red Rose Tea is excellent tasting for making cold brew. Just let the tea bags steep for 15-30 minutes in tepid water. Depending on the length of your holiday, and if you have access to a car to drive to Walmart, sometimes investing in a very inexpensive toaster oven may be worth it. And for non-Keto people, there's also the microwavable rice pouches. Just heat and eat! Top with a can of chicken and some Sriracha sauce (Huy Fong only!). You can make Knorr Alfredo noodles and add chicken. Add microwaved fresh (or frozen) broccoli to that too. When travelling solo to WDW, I usually stay at All Star Sports because it's near the McDonald's, and that becomes my dining room since it is only several minutes walk there from A*S*Sports and they're open 24/7!
Love this! What a smart idea!
Thanks, Jessica!
You and your mom in this kitchenette talking over each other and talking how to smuggle booze in your checked bag is my new favorite thing. Add the girls banging in the background and I’m dead.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 THIS IS SO ON BRAND
Ok now I want you to do a my drunk kitchen in a disney suite and we can all retire off the Adsense revenue.
I'm hoping next time we can all cook together!
I feel the need to comment here as it was because of Jen that I watch your content. I just saw your FB story where you express how very much my comment upset you today. That broke my heart. Truly. That was absolutely not my intent. Not at all. I love your content. I have commented before. You have responded to my questions in the past. You and your family have brought Disney joy to my life. For that I am grateful and do not want to hurt you. Seeing that I caused that with my comment upsets me. I am sorry. Again it was not my intention. I really wanted to hear what you and your mother were saying. I understand these productions are not professional and off the top of your head. I couldn’t do it. It is just something I notice with women vlogs and specifically with your vlogs. I thought it was a helpful suggestion and not at all a comment on your relationship with her. Also, Jen points it out in her comment. Again, not a troll, just my attempt at helping. My bad.
Julie Diane Hi Julie, I appreciate and accept where you're coming from. I was trying something a little different with this video (an informal vlog with informative content-if that makes sense 😅). I decided leaving a lot of it as is rather than over-editing the video because the back and forth is supposed to be there. I understand it's not for everyone and that's okay! I hope you're able to find my other content useful-I think we chatted about the double stroller? Which is a much more formal video and still super prevalent on the channel. Thank you for reaching out and I still look forward to chatting (definitely on better terms 😀) in the future. xo Allison
This is a great idea. I haven't stayed on Disney property yet to make meals in the hotel. But when I traveled with my family when I was younger. My mom would boil hot water in the coffee pots in the rooms we were at to make soup and oatmeal. It's a great idea. Keep it up girl
Thank you so much Kelly and glad you found the video useful!
Great tips Allison!! I love using amazon prime now to get water and snacks – I spend about $5 for a case of 24 bottles instead of paying nearly that much for one bottle in the parks! Definitely using your snack bag tip for when I stay at AoA next week! 😃
So glad you were able to find something helpful and yes, definitely use the snack bags!
Yay, best video ever. I need to cook more at Disney. We go way too much not to!
I save so much money by doing it!!
I loved this! I generally don’t cook on vacation but it’s just the 2 of us. I totally would if we had kids or a group. And box of wine in the checked bag….brilliant!!
Yes Dawn! Box Wine is a total game changer. 🙂
Wait, what?! You get $50 off if you refuse housekeeping? I had no idea!
We had grocery delivery when we were at Copper Creek so that would could have breakfast and coffee in the room every morning. It saved us SO MUCH MONEY!
You always have great information!
Hi Traci! SO YES! I'm not sure which resorts still do it (I think it's mainly the value resorts) but you can ask about it and based on the number of nights, they'll give you a disney gift card!
Such great options for limited space and equipment. I love these tips!
So glad you found it helpful!
THank you for this video. I can see where cooking even one meal a day can save you a ton of money especially with kids. Disney food, while usually really good, is ridiculously expensive. I have never thought of taking, hot pots, utensils, or anything like that in my luggage. It just goes to show that you can learn something new every day. 🙂
Why did I never think of box wine on a checked bag… great tips!
Dang…I’m hungry now! I had no idea that they made biodegradable sandwich bags! That’s awesome!
The girls saying bye at the end….. 😭😭😭
Thank you for the information 😊
I was looking up for cooking in a hotel room videos and say your youtube name and had to click on! Love the name! And great video. I travel a lot and stay in hotel rooms as well.
I have so many more ideas so a new video will be out soon!
So glad I ran across this video. I’ll be staying in something similar and was thinking I can take my induction stove and one pot.
How to cook without alarming the smoke detector? I'm afraid the smoke will triggered the detector.
It’s just a hot pot! No smoke with it
I’m staying in this and I was so scared
I think this is so clever! Thank you. ! Love the relationship you have with your mom! ❤️
What is Disney?
you and your mum seem so close! Adoreable
