Allow me to dig a little deeper into your nostalgia: The 1977 to 1995 Electrical Water Pageant & Adventurers Club.
Water Pageant still exists (and I actually talk about it in my next video)….and Adventurers Club is DEEPLY MISSED.
Hahahahahaha π€£ love that intro.
LOL, one day we are going to do a collab when you visit Disneyland and you will see how loud LA is! π
Great video!!
Thank you!
What a great trip down memory lane! I was 16 when I made my first trip the world (1984) it was my senior trip and i also miss the back lot tour, the skyway and horizons as well. My next trip wasn't until 1991 with my mother who had never been to Disney ever and we cried like babies walking down main street starring and that beautiful castle! Then it would not be until i was married and had my daughter until i returned in 2007 and we have returned every year since… sometimes twice a year! Well, I'm 51 now and cant go as much as I used to due terrible back and neck issues but i am planning to go back for the 50th anniversary and look forward to crying like a baby again!βΊ π PS sorry for the rambling…but i could talk about Disney all day long. ππππππ Great video and looking forward to more nostalgiaπ
YES!! I'm so glad you understand my nostalgia….it pains me! And I'm so sorry about your back and neck. Could you rent a scooter and get back sooner? That is so tough as a Disney enthusiast. I haven't been since December and it's so hard for me! And you aren't rambling, I sit and talk Disney all day π So great to chat, Renee!
LOL This list is so long for me!
Yessssss I miss the Disney dollars too!! π I don't have any either… I wish I still did.
I think about that Honey I Shrunk the Audience ride all the time! Good ride!
Totally agree about the expiration! That was the best! Also the dark rides in WDW where they sent to DL Paris. At least we can do DL California!
I miss Horizons the most and the original Journey Into Imagination …I also liked Delta Dreamflight, the Timekeeper, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, the MGM Studios Catastrophe Canyon and World of Motion…..OMG I remember club cool with the snow! We stayed at Dixie Landings once….that was a nice hotel! I still have a shirt, pin and keychain with Dixie Landings on it.
Do you remember the cool puppet/live action stage show of Lion King at Magic Kingdom? It was in the theater that now has Mickey's Philharmagic. Just remember that being a cool show.
I enjoyed Honey I Shrunk the Audience too and Iβm sad itβs gone. Another one, and I am assuming it was at WDW too, was The Main Street Electrical Parade. That was great π
Alien Encounter! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExtraTERRORestrial_Alien_Encounter
I feel the same way. I love Alien Encounter when I was younger and was so bummed when they changed it!
I loved it so much. I didn't go that often when I was a kid but I went on it a couple times and then my sister reported back to me that it was closed and there was a stitch ride in it's place. She said it was the same, but I don't see how that's even possible. haha. And now that's closed too (which i'm sure as a Disney aficionado you already know all this, but…). Anyway big bummer. My favorite ride this time around was the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. I hadn't been since high school so it was super nostalgic. Now I have to go back to Disneyland because of the new Star Wars area.
Awe, that's so sad π But yes, unfortunately it's been closed for a while. My favorite ride is Carousel of Progress…is it a ride? Attraction? Either way, it's my favorite. And I'm super excited about all the new Star Wars stuff happening! I live in SoCal so hopefully I can make it in the first few weeks after it opens!
I whispered "the patriarchy" a few times during the Carousel of Progress…but it's definitely a good ride and fun. haha.
Katie OMG IM SCREAMING. YOURE THE BEST. πππ
I miss Disney dollars also! They were our go to gift for Disney loving friends, Disney dollars and a personalized key chain or mug for Christmas and tucking them in birthday cards. I grew up going to Disneyland, and we camped in tents there, it was awesome. I'm a May baby too, May 29! Things I miss at Disneyland the most: the original Main Street Electrical Parade that went through Disneyland; the Skyway; the Motorboat Cruise ride; Triton's Garden where you could meet Ariel with her tail not her dress; and the Snow White Show. I am actually glad I got to experience when I did, because I see it going Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars themed now, which is not really my thing. I've always been a Disney classic die hard.
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I know they have it at Disneyland, but ours had two different tracks! And most of all The Great Movie Ride.
YES. I was in WDW when it was announced that the Great Movie Ride was closing! I was heartbroken; it was one of my favorites!
